for all God's people.
The need
St. Catherine’s has always been a very
friendly place. Our renovation is designed
to make our facilities more
welcoming especially to those with physical challenges. Many Sacraments
and celebrations have occurred in our worship space that have given fond
memories to those who have walked through our doors. These improvements
will create a space for all and will be the source of many treasured
memories to come. Listen to what a few parishioners have to say:
“John & I were most excited to hear that approval has been given to
make St. Catherine’s handicap accessible. Karri will now be able to
participate in renewing baptism. A ramp into the choir area will allow
John & I to join the choir and Karri can sit with us. “

“Some ideas for making the church more accessible:
1. Make one of the front doors a push button-automatic door.
2. Put some kind of solid ramp up to the altar for weddings or other
events.
3. Redo bathrooms. There isn’t any way that I can fit back there at all.
Lower sinks, air dryers and handicap stalls are needed.”
